The Glen of Imaal Terrier is a small, low, bowed-front working terrier with a harsh wheaten or blue coat and a strong head. The outline is longer than tall, built for going to ground in the Wicklow hills.

A short-legged Irish earth dog who can share a house or apartment if walked; a harsh coat that needs stripping and a quieter voice than many terriers.

The Glen of Imaal Terrier is an Irish earth dog from the Glen of Imaal in County Wicklow. It was used on vermin and as a turnspit dog.

Temperament
