The Treeing Feist is a small-to-medium, short-coated squirrel dog with erect or folded ears and a lean, racy body. It is lighter than a Treeing Cur and quicker in thickets.

The Treeing Feist, or Mountain Feist, is an American squirrel dog from the Appalachian and Ozark hills. Feist means a small, lively hunting dog. The UKC classes it as a Terrier.
